Born and raised in Frauenfeld/Switzerland, studies with doublebass Masters Yoan Goilav/ROU, Jean-Marc Rollez/FRA, Mark Dresser/USA, Stefano Scodanibbio/ITA and others more. Finished his studies at Berklee School of Music in Boston/USA, played with the creative Stars of the New York Jazz scene, performances and recordings with a number of a musicians whose list reads like a Who’s Who of todays jazz. Critics write about him as a wonderful bass player with a long breath and a warm heartbeat, and as a connector with a sonorous bass sound between the hectic pace of New York’s downtown avant-garde and contemplative European soundscapes.
